I can agree with everything except the creator part. I don't think that plays any role in the engagement. Anyway, I've said it in another topic and I'll say it again. Facebook has changed drastically over the past year and it just keeps getting worse. It will come to a point where a reach of a thousand people for a million fans page will be the best performance. I've watched my active pages, one of which was getting a thousand likes per picture with the snap of a finger... just slowly die. The same page now, with a lot more fans barerly gets to 200.

It's a moot point to ask outselves how does facebook choose what to show in the news feed, because eventually the answer to that question will be really simple - as long as we fill their pockets with ridiculous amounts of money our content will be shown. Otherwise, the number of fans you have will simply be just a decoration.
